Frequently asked questions

What to know before you start.

What does EnsureLoc NOT do?

What EnsureLoc does not do. EnsureLoc is a self-service records-readiness platform. EnsureLoc does not inspect, review, verify, organize, modify, interpret, or determine the sufficiency of customer records; prepare, file, negotiate, adjust, approve, or deny insurance claims; provide legal, tax, insurance, financial, medical, or other professional advice; or decide who should receive access to customer records. Customers control their records and sharing.

How is EnsureLoc different from Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox?

Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, and similar services are general-purpose file storage and collaboration tools. EnsureLoc is purpose-built for records readiness. It centers the experience on important record categories, Quick-Add, readiness tools, and customer-controlled Trusted Connections so records are organized around what they are and why you may need them. EnsureLoc is not claiming to be more secure than those services and does not need to replace every file-storage tool.

Do EnsureLoc employees view or change my records?

100% hands-off customer-record policy. EnsureLoc employees do not open, view, read, inspect, edit, rename, organize, modify, delete, interpret, advise on, or assist with the contents of individual customer records. Employees may provide account or technical support only without accessing record contents. Any action required by law or valid legal process is handled through the appropriate provider or legal authority.

What happens after I enroll?

Your secure member portal and standard record organization are provisioned. A secure account-setup email is sent to the address used during enrollment so you can set your password and sign in.

Who uploads and organizes my records?

You do. EnsureLoc is self-service. You decide what to upload, how to name it, when to update it, and who may access it.

What is Quick-Add?

Quick-Add is the fastest route from the navigation to adding a new record. Choose the record category and open the secure portal to upload it.

Is the Guided Checklist free?

Yes. The readiness score, ordered priorities, next-record recommendation, and event checklists can be used without payment. Account-based reminders are available in the secure portal.

Do reminders send email or text alerts?

Reminders are saved to your EnsureLoc account and appear in the secure portal. Adding a renewal or expiration date can create reminders 60, 30, and 7 days before the date. Email reminders can be sent when email notification is enabled for the reminder. Text-message reminder delivery is not enabled in the current MVP.

How do Trusted Connections work?

Members invite trusted people through the secure portal, choose what they may access, and change or remove access. EnsureLoc does not select recipients or manage permissions.

Can other customers see my records?

Each customer is provisioned for a separate workspace. Members should review permissions regularly and report unfamiliar access immediately.

How do I delete my account?

Sign in, open Account, and use Delete Account to submit an account-deletion request. Download any records you want to keep first. Account deletion and refunds are separate; deleting an account does not create a refund.

Where do members manage account information?

Member records and available account controls are accessed after secure sign-in. Public website pages do not display individual billing, card, renewal, cancellation, or password information.

How do membership storage limits work?

Starter Vault includes 500 MB for one year. Personal Ready includes 10 GB and 2 Trusted Connections; Home & Family Ready 25 GB and 5; Business Ready 100 GB and 10. After-Loss Personal Ready includes 15 GB and 5 Trusted Connections; After-Loss Home & Family Ready 25 GB and 7; After-Loss Business Ready 50 GB and 10 for one loss event. Emergency Grab File is included with every package and is not sold separately. Plans use a storage allowance rather than a fixed record count.

What is included with After-Loss Business?

After-Loss Business is built around record readiness, not claim handling. The one-time package includes 50 GB for one business loss event, up to 10 Trusted Connections, 12 months of full access, and a guided record-readiness checklist. Core categories include photos and video, proof of ownership, property and equipment, estimates, contractor contracts, invoices and receipts, insurance records, correspondence, and repair/recovery records. Quick-Add also supports vehicle, financial, payroll/timesheet, and official-report records when they apply. A green check means at least one record is present in that category; Not Complete means no record has been added yet. This status does not determine whether a claim or record file is sufficient.

What is the refund policy?

Except where required by law, fees are nonrefundable once account provisioning begins, portal access has been created, records have been uploaded, or the service has otherwise been materially used. A request made before service begins may be reviewed by emailing support@ensureloc.com. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not create a retroactive refund.

Does EnsureLoc prepare claims or legal documents?

No. EnsureLoc provides a self-service records-readiness platform and does not prepare, file, negotiate, or advise on insurance claims or provide legal, tax, medical, insurance, or financial advice.
